Hey girls! Hope everyone is well. Luke is not sleeping too well in his crib. He makes it til about 3 am then wakes up. so I plunk him in his carseat next to my bed for the rest of the night. He actually was up at about midnight last night. i hope it gets better & he just has to get used to it. Well I gained 25 lbs through my pregnancy and lost 20 lbs in the first 2 weeks after he was born. I can't get rid of the last 5 lbs (not trying too hard either). Anyway, I was 5 lbs overweight when I got pregnant so I am 125 now and want to be 115 max. I just really love to eat! Kimmer- how is Brady at the new daycare? Tara- how is the increase of Zantac working for your lo? Has the pedi mentioned trying a pre-digested formula (Alimentum, etc) to help w/ the constipation? babeedust- thanks for the info. My whole problem is that Luke has been sleeping in his carseat! He really prefers it and I had a feeling it was going to cause a problem. I kept my now 2yo dd in our room til she was a year. Talk about being neurotic, huh? Hey jeni, funnygal, how are you doing? Is anyone else planning another lo or are we all done now? Just curious. Colleen

clindholm- i'm great. thanks for asking. :) just started the boys back on regular formula. hoping that takes care of the constipation. it just breaks my heart to see them so uncomfortable and not really being able to do much to help them other than cuddling them. my husband and i plan to have at least one more. we're really hoping for a girl. my husband says it'd be great if we could have twin girls next time. lol. we plan to start trying again when the boys are 9-12 months. people tell me i'm crazy, but i want to get the diaper days done and out of the way in the beginning. :P

Hi girls! funnygal - you sounds just like me. My dh and I are thinking about starting to try when Brady is 9-12 mos. old. It took a while last time, so we want to start early. And, we also would love a girl the next time around. And, we've joked about twins too...they really run in my family. I hope the regular formula gets rid of their constipation problems! Colleen - I don't think you are neurotic. I think we'll keep Brady in our room for that long too...so maybe I'mt neurotic too :) As for day care, I think this is going to work out ok. I like the woman we found and she seems to really care for Brady. She called me twice yesterday asking for suggestions on calming him down - he was screaming non-stop. I told her things to try...and it seemed like she was trying everything. At least she cares enough to really try to confort him. Maybe it's just a transition time and it'll get better. But, I felt so bad for my little guy. Did any of your little ones have a hard transitions into day care? Tara - how's the zantac working? babee - how's Makayla? Oh, and it sounds like you've lost a lot of weight - congrats! Is anyone pumping? I just feel like I"m not getting close to enough...it's frustrating. How is everyone else? jeni, jess? Take care. Kim

Hi everyone.... Kim and Colleen...Zantac is working ok...when I can get it in him. He throws up alot so usually within 2 minutes of taking meds he spits up. I am not sure he really gets his full dosage. But he's been ok. I'm trying to get more tummy time for him but he throws up a lot so he winds up laying in his throw up..It's gross!! I wish I could have kept him in my room..Neither one of us could sleep!!! babee - you are really good with the weight thing. I guess I just gained too much..I was very active and ate carefully now and during the pregnancy..20 to go!!! As far as getting pregnant I can't wait to have another. Probably over the summer we will start trying. Maybe August... ok lo is crying. Talk to you tonight

Hi everyone. Aj is still sleeping very good at night. But he very rarely will sleep at all during the day. How much formula does your babies eat? Aj was drinking 6 ounces every 3 hours but the just this last week he has only been drinking 4 ounces except for his last feeding of the day. I'm not to worried about it because he's not losing weight. Kimmer I'm glad you found a good daycare that you like. I have looked at a couple around here and I don't really like any of them. They have way to many kids in my opinion. As for my weight I weigh 142 now and I want to get down to 120. I have been speed walking/running 5 days a week. It feels so good to just excercice. It has really helped with my ppd. We want one more baby. Were not really trying right now but were also not preventing it. It took us a year to get pregnant with Aj. Well I hope everyone is doing good. Have a great day ladies. Amanda

Hey girls! Where is everyone? I hope everything is going ok. Brady is doing well. He cried a lot a few days last week at day care, but things are going well today (and they went well the other days last week too). I think he is just adjusting (and she is to...getting used to him). Byt the way, Colleen, I gave her the sheets you sent on CPR, and she thanked me saying a reminder is always a good thing - she posted it on her fridge. I still really think the person we found is doing a good job. Oh, Tara - Brady has been spitting up more. I think I need to up his dose too. How much does your lo take now? Take care.

So the boys are doing much better with their bm's. thanks for the info about the soy formula. today is their 4-month checkup. shot day. i'm not looking forward to it. i even took some vacation time so i could come in late tomorrow for work since i know i won't get much sleep. the nice thing is at my ped, the nurses hold them for the shot, so they don't a__sociate the pain with me, and i get to cuddle them immediately after. it just breaks my heart to see them in pain. i'm sure all moms loathe shot day. i was excited to meet an expectant mommy of twins this weekend while out looking for easter outfits. doesn't it make you feel good when you can share your mom wisdom with other moms? i don't know, maybe it makes me a dork, but it just makes me feel good. :) how is everyone?

Hey girls! Tara- Have you considered a tiny bit of cereal in his bottle to help keep it down? That helped my dd with the reflux. Tummy time is hard for the lo's with reflux. Austynsmoomy- Luke takes about 6-6.5 oz every 2.5 to 3 hours. He is a porker! I'm going to try some cereal again soon. He is over 5 months but his adjusted age is about 3.5 months. Kimmer- I'm so glad that the daycare is working out. Some days are more difficult than others, I'm sure he will adjust. That's great that she is willing to accept your suggestions. I will have my CPR refresher course at the end of the month which will make me feel better, it's been 2 years since my last. funnygal- what formula did you end up changing to? I hate the shots too, I think it hurts us mommy's more than the lo's. As I have said, I am doing an adjusted schedule and only doing a few at a time. It just seems like too much at once. You can give your boys Tylenol prior to your appt so that they do not develop a fever. It's always good to give it to them before bed too since that is when fevers usually rise. Good luck. Luke is doing well, he is teething like crazy, poor kid. He is sleeping in his crib now but only makes it til about 3 am, then he goes back to his favorite place, the car seat. He has also been wierd with eating and I wanted all your opinions. He typically eats at 3 or 3:30 pm so would eat again around 6-6:30 but soon after(an hour or hour and a half)he freaks out screaming for more. It's almost as if when he gets real tired he wants to "stock up" for the night. My concern is that ideally we are supposed to put them down to sleep while they are "Sleepy" but not "asleep" so I am worried that he wants to always fall asleep with a bottle in his mouth. Am I setting myself up for a problem later on? He screams so terribly and I can't let him CIO if he is hungry. Anyway, I would appreciate your opinions. Time to get back to work, Colleen

colleen-we previously used target brand soy, so we just switched to the milk-based infant formula. they're tolerating it pretty well and the bm's are so much better. they're just back to be really ga__sy. shot day wasn't too horrible. i gave them tylenol before the appt and then every 4 hours or so for the rest of the night. they still seemed to be running a slight fever this morning. the boys have been sleeping in a playpen next our bed for a week now. it's working out fairly well. they generally will sleep in it from about 9p-3a (when dh comes home)then maddox wants to sleep with me as usual. maguire probably would stay in it for the night, but maddox fusses enough that it wakes him up. i'm hoping it keeps going well and hopefully in a few months we can transition them to their own room. we'll see. oh yeah. my boys both like to eat immediately before falling asleep for the night, too. no matter when they've eaten previously (even if it's only been 10 min) they scream bloody murder until i give them a bottle. they only eat maybe an ounce, though and then pa__s right out. i worry i'm going to regret this later on when they can't fall asleep without eating. hello tooth-decay. sometimes i can fool them with their pacifier, but it works less and less these days. if you figure something else out, let me know. :)

Happy Easter everyone! ( I apologize if it's not within your religious beliefs). Can't wait to dress up the lo's on their cute little outfits. I hope everyone has a great weekend!!!! funnygal- thanks for the info, I'm glad I'm not the only one developing sleep problems! It's still just survival at this point so I'm not going to screw with it (I really need my sleep). ttyl- Colleen

Hi Girls, It's been a while...internet was out for 2 days. Kim, My lo takes about 1.0 ml of zantac. He took .8 for a while and then they increased it to the newest dosage. He weighs close to 19 pounds. funnygal - I still haven't switched over. We go to the dr this week and I am hoping that he will be okay with the switch back to milk based formula. I don't think he will have a problem, since he wasn't the one who switched him to soy. It was a partner dr. The one on call when he was sick, that I don't love!!! Colleen- We have had Michael on cereal (rice) since he was 7 weeks old as per the dr. It was the first option before medicating him. I also think this helps him sleep the 10 hours overnight. He does get cereal in every bottle though. He is 16 weeks today (Thursday). He eats about 7-8ounces of formula with rice 4 times a day. I have also started to feed him the rice on a spoon, since he is already eating it, I figured trying the spoon wouldn't hurt...He loves it!!!! He's b__wing it all over. funny gal - I also give my guy a bottle right before bed. I've done that with my other son too. It seems to be fine. My dr seemed to think its ok. Once they are able to rinse their mouth out, then you have them do that. My dentist said to take a wet gauze or wash cloth and wipe their gums. Just to get the majority of food off of their gums. Anyway, I hope everyone has a happy easter or pa__sover....

Kimmer23 - April 10

Tara - your little one only gets 1 ml a day??? Brayden gets 1 ml, 3 times per day, and he weighs about 10.5-11 lbs. It seems to be working for him though.... I had no idea that I should be cleaning his gunms already...I'll get started on that during babth time! And, Brady gets a bottle right before bed too...he usually falls asleep eating it, and then we just carry him upstairs and put him to bed. Oh, and Brady just gets 4oz of EBM (usually...sometimes formula) every 3 hours at the babysitter and then he nurses before and after...do you think he's getting enough? He's little, and he still wakes during the night to eat too...usually twice. funnygal - I'm glad shot day wasn't too bad...I'm not looking forward to it. Do you like the target brand formula? We just bought it to try. We've been using Enfamil (for his 1-2 bottles a day). I hope everyone is doing well! And happy Easter and/or pa__sover! I can't wait to put Brady in his little Easter outfit too...and his Baptism is next weekend...he has the cutest little outfit for that too!

funnygal84 - April 10

We do like the Target brand. The boys tolerate it well, with just a little spit-up occasionally. Plus, you can't beat the price. Also, you can call Target once a month for a $3 off coupon for the formula. They also encourage you to have family sign up so you can get as many coupons as possible. :P I think the girls running customer service must be mothers as well. The # is 1-800-410-9629 for the coupon. It takes a bit to get it in the mail, but they tell you if you want to call each month not to wait for the previous coupon since it takes awhile. They'll eventually get there. :P

Kimmer23 - April 13

Thanks so much for the number for the formula coupon! I think you can get any kind of formula coupon...they asked what formula I use and what coupon I want. How is everyone?

Is it Ok if I join you ladies? I was a January mommy on the forums, but had my LO New Years Eve. My baby Kellen was born 3 weeks early at 7lbs 10z and has been a growing chunky boy ever since! He is 14 1/2 weeks old and weighs in at 15lb 5 oz and is wearing 6/9 month clothes. He was slepping pretty nicely in his own crib in his own room from 8:30 pm until about 4 am until this past weekend, hen he started getting up at 12:30 or so fussing..not hungry, not a diaper, wouldn't take a bink. I had read some of your posts and I think i will check to see if he may be teething...I also wonder if he eats enough at each feeding. He may eat 4 oz every 4 hrs and other times he may only eat a couple ounces. (Mind you he is over 15 lbs, I guess I shouldn't worry LOL). Also, he chews his fists, but he doesn't really swipe at things yet, didn't know if he should be doing this yet? He will hold things in his hand if you put them there, but he won't hold on for long. He is making all kinds of squeals and coos and sounds, a start of a laugh is coming, but no belly laughs. I guess I would just like to know how your LO's are doing with these things as I am a FTM and don't really know when to expect certain milestones, I have read about them, bu would rather hear from other mommies. I started back to work last Monday and have a daycare 5 mins from my house. It was hard for the 1st few days, but I am very happy with the ladies watching my boy, it has made it easier. I loved my time with him this weekend even more! Hope you all are managing the no sleep. Cyndi

TaraO - April 13

Hi Cydilea - Welcome. It's good to have new people all the time. My lo is 5 days away from 4 months. He is 19 pounds and he eats 7 7.5 ounces every 4 hours. He also eats cereal in each of his bottles. I am sure your lo is getting plenty if he's not fussy. It won't hurt to give him a little extra during the day. Initially my dr told me to give him an extra bottle during the day because during the day, the more they eat, the less they need over night. Michael sleeps about 10.5 hours every night without eating. But he sounds healthy and happy. They are all so different. Michael is just starting to giggle. He hasn't rolled over yet but he's trying. He also just figured out how to suck his thumb. He will only chew on a teething ring if I hold it. We don't have a belly laugh yet either. Hi girls, Well I tried to switch from soy...No luck... he screamed all day yesterday...dumb move to switch on easter!!!! It was fun and he was up all night. I forgot how awful that was. So I think we are sticking to the soy!!! Hope everyone is doing well!!! TARA
