I had posted a few days back that caleb had not been eating a lot and he will be 3 month in a couple of days but starting last night he seems to be eating a lot. He had 5 oz at 7:30 pm then he had 6 oz of formula with cereal (reflux) at 11:00 and usually that holds him unitl 6 or 7 in the morning but he woke up at 3:45 and had 5 oz then at 7 and had 5 oz and then at 9:30 this morning he just had 5 1/2 oz. Doesnt this sound like a lot... so I am thinking he might be going through a growth spurt. I hope it is because I thought I had finally gotten rid of the middle of the night feedings. :(

Ah the coveted "sleep through the night" *thing* seems so elusive doesn't it. We got the same thing going, Anna has periods of high eating and low sleeping or high sleeping and low eating. I hear from parents of older infants that things should improve but it will be gradually....

My mom tells me because tells me that once they start solids they usually sleeps through the night. But my first son slept through the night from 2 months and only needed a little bit of cereal and he was fine.

Monica ... it's a commonly held belief but people who put it to the test found it not so. In fact very few pediatrician authors make a direct connection between sleep habits and food. The reason people believe that is because the baby will get more mature *in general* at about the same time. We'll have to keep trying I suppose, but the worst is behind us. ;-)

My daughter is 2 1/2 months old and at her last doctors apointment her doctor told me that babies usually go through a growth spurt at 3 months. So thats probably it.

BBK How is Anna doing? You mentioned that the worse was behind us... but just wait, the terrible two's are just around the corner.....then you will wish Anna was an infant that kept you up at night :) well you might get lucky my first son never had a terrible at any age.

Anna is doing really well. She's really a sweet baby. I have two updated photos at http://bbkbbk.piczo.com She "talks" a lot, especially to me and giggles too. Ever since she discovered the loud laughing she does it a lot. You're right I miss it when she was really little already, but it's more fun now. I look forward to when she's older too. You already have two and can see more sides of parenting... we're just beginners :-) How is Caleb? Too bad he can't have any candy this halloween :-)
