hi, i'm here. when the baby is sleeping i like to check out this forum. speaking of which, she's awake. anyone elses baby get the hiccups ALL THE TIME? sooo annoying.

<Amy> (UK) - November 9

YESSSS! Kai gets really bad hiccups all the time! I feel so sorry for him cos they really frustrate him. I put warm boiled water on a teaspoon and tip it in his mouth. Stops them 9 tims out of 10! you wouldn't belive it lol. (a trick my nan told me).

lisa - November 9

yep Jasmin gets hiccups lots, midwife says i can feed her with hicups which i do but it sure is wierd. im having a hard time brest feeding, sore dry cracked nipples and pain deep in b___b in one side, also today i feel like ive pulled all abdomen musles, oh dear, does the b___stfeeding improve, please give me hope.

how long have you been at it? i've b___stfeeding since day 1 and my baby is now 2 weeks old. my b___bs killed when they were engorged, also freakishly, scarily huge, but now they only hurt if it's been a while since the last feeding. you should get some Lansinoh nipple creme, it helps a little bit. maybe but an ice pack on your b___bs. hah! i was just remembering how when i was pregnant i said that i can't wait to sleep on my stomach again, but now that the baby's out i still don't because of my b___bs! i leak all over the bed despite nursing pads and then they start to ache... anyway, i was thinking about starting to do serious crunches today. i'm rather disgusted with the way my belly looks now. in some of my smaller pants my flab spills over the waist, so gross. any of you have the extra flab? what do you do about it?

Hi everyone :-) I have been out almost all day and my god am I tired! Had my son at the opticians (oldest son) then went shopping. Everyone was suprised that I was up and about only 2 days after giving birth. I don't see what the big deal is, as long as you feel ready? My milk is starting to come through now and its made my b___sts really tender. The start of a feed hurts so much it almost brings tears to my eyes, but after about 20 seconds or so everything is ok.

Hi Girls, I am an October Mommy as well who lost touch on the third trimester boards due to a hectic work schedule with my sales job - I worked up until my labor started and didn't spend too much time on my computer at night. Anyway, I had my son Luke on October 28th, 3 days early, after 30 hours of labor and an emergancy c-section. I am also b___stfeeding. The engorgment period was the worst and happened the day I returned home from the hospital. That has since pa__sed and he is feeding well and gaining weight at a great pace. I was told by the lactation consultants at the hospital that each time you finish feeding you should express a drop of milk and rub it on your nipple to prevent cracking. If they do crack, lansinoh is best. I don't know if that helps anyone but it seems to be working for me so far. Congratulations again to all of you!

hello lisa... I am an october mommy!! how are you doing? how old is your baby again? how are you sleeping? OMG I was a walking zombie..thank God we got some help at night.. ITS SOOO MUCH BETTER!! Although I still get up to nurse my baby. I have also been having a few problems with breasfeeding but hopefully it will get better.. Isn't it great that most of the moms from the pregnancy forum are now here!! we can chat the same as we used to do :)

Jasmin was 1 week old yesterday, she is gorgeous and sleeps so well at night i keep waiting for it to end and her suddenly wake up but all week she has slept 7-8 hours at night!!! b___stfeeding still kills but getting better, i have mast_tis on left side, temp yesterday and posible womb infection, so am on antibiotics, the cracked nipples thing, ive tried milk and lansinoh but they keep cracking, does b___stfeeding ever feel normal? i cant wear a bra without pads, my nipples cant brush next to anything it kills. Lesley respect to you going out sorting your other kids too, i love to get out but Jasmin wants to feed so much, how do you do it?

Lesley - November 10

When we out he is mostly asleep. When he woke for a feed I went into asda and fed him in there. I've gotta go out again tomorrow so my oldest an get his other part of his eye test. When I woke up his morning I was in quite a bit of pain. I think I had overdid it yesterday, so today I am staying in and putting my feet up after I've had a long hot soak in the bath.

Lisa, yes, b___stfeeding DOES get easier. Have you had someone check your latch? By around the 4th week, you shouldn't be in discomfort.

lisa - November 10

yes i get help from the midwives and went today to the b___stfeeding suport group at the maternity unit, when the help position it doesnt hurt, it is getting easier but feel i need 3-4 hands to get her on properly! managed to be out the house for 3 hours! with shopping and the feeding thing...wow
