Jasmin is 6 weeks and has lots of tiny red spots in patches on her face, i wash her face veryday with water but what could cause this??

Could be baby acne, and there isn't too much you can do about it but let it subside on its own...when you wash her face be very delicate.

My 17 week old son had the same thing but really, really bad when we took him to the dr. they said he had infintial exema and gave him two rx creams to put on him. His little face was itching him to death and ended up on his arms and legs now on his belly and back. It is very heridatary (sp?) and also due to the cold winter. Not sure if this could be what your child has as well. God Bless!

Ben has little red spots. My other 2 had them too. I don't see anything wrong with them. They don't look sore, he isnt distressed cos of them. So as far as I'm concerned they are nothing to worry about.

Emma got them really bad at 6 wks and my doc said it's normal. I used Aquaphor on her face cus it was also really dry and rough feeling. She's 9 wks old today and it's all gone!!! He scalp is still really dry and flakey though but no more acne or red blotches.

My daughter got baby acne really bad and her pediatrician said to use Dove soap (just plain Dove) and it cleared up within 2 weeks. I still use it for her body and face.
