I was wondering what kind of solid foods are availbale in the market for an 8 month old baby. I have been looking around , but only cereals and gerber foods and finger foods. Anything else that I can give my daughter? She loves solids. she is now cutting down on her formula . is that ok? I am a working mom and dont have much time to cook food for the baby. I do it on the weekends, but sometimes even that is not possible. I need suggestions for healthy food for my baby which I can buy off the shelf in my local grocery stores like safeway or albertsons...

I have been giving my 8 month old avacado, bananas, mango, cheerios, pasta, puffed wheat, no sugar organic teething biscuits, canteloup and kiwi. He loves eating by himself. I just cut everyting small enough for him to grab. If you think of anything else, let me know!!

Does any one use Arrowroot cookies? Or those big fat cereal cookies, that turn to mush when chewed on? My daughter loves to eat those!
