Was she v____al or c-section baby? Amaya was born via c-section and she had fluid in her lungs and throat for a couple of weeks. It would be really bad right after she burped and shen she would be laying flat. I guess it took that long for her to get it all out. At the very end she would actually spit up what looked like spitup and snot like stuff (sorry, I know that sounds gross) she is all better now!

You should check with your baby's doctor. Babies make a lot more sounds than you'd think, though. Grunts, sneezes, hiccups...it's all normal. Check with your doctor, though, for your peace of mind. Another thing you can do is to put a rolled up towel under the crib mattress, to raise one end of the mattress, and then put her head toward the raised end. I had to do that when my oldest daughter had a bad cold and kept gagging on snot.

At that age I noticed my daughter had some mucus at times. Doc said use saline drops in her nostrils, but it didn't last long enough to make the experiment worth it. Does that happen after a feeding or any time you put her down? A little gagging or coughing is normal, but like Jbear said mention it to the pediatrician just in case. Take her temperature before you call in case you're asked for it.

My daughter had acid reflux when she was born. She took medication for it for about 6 months. Try letting her sleep in a propped up position. Also, try keeping her in an upright position for a while after feeding her. I would probably mention it to her doctor.
