Sometimes you can find telemarketing companies that will let you work from home. You may call for a charity or for surveys, but as long as you get in so many hours a day, they dont mind which hours you choose to use. I worked for a couple of months for real estate agent, doing follow up calls for him from home a while back. Beware of those companies though that ask for money to start your own home based business though.

The alpine access one seems to be legit. They don't charge you anything, just require that you get an unlimited long distance plan and a headset for your phone. It's the first one I've seen that looked legit, so I'm trying it (thanks ella for mentioning it). They also withold taxes, instead of making you work as an independant contractor, which most phone jobs do.

Are you reimbursed for long distance calls you make? If so how long does it take to get refunded?

I'm just going through the application process so far, but from what their website said, you are not reimbursed for the long distance calls, which is why you have to get an unlimited long distance plan. I checked with my phone company and they only want $20 a month for it, so it might be worth it to me.

I looked at their site, it looks interesting. Let me know how it goes.
