This is my second pregnancy and I am thirty weeks. I went into labor with painful contractions 4 days ago. My doc checked my and said that I am 1 cm dilated but not effaced. He prescribed meds. for the contractions to stop. I continue to have painful contractions and continue to take the meds in order to relax my uterus. Anyone else been through the same thing? (w/ your second pregnancy)

I'm currently 34weeks and 3 days pregnant with my second. I was in the hospital last week for 4 days with pre-term labor. I was 1 cm and 50% effaced and having contractions that took a lot to stop them, but they finally stopped and I haven't dilated anymore. Did you have your first early?

My first came 11 days early by induction b/c I was almost 4 cent. dilated and 80% effaced. My doc presribed oral turbuline to take when the contractions come. Did your doc. set any rules and regulations? My doc just said take it easy.

I'm taking procardia every eight hours for contractions and I'm on complete bed rest, only allowed to go to the bathroom. My first was born at 36 1/2 weeks so I'm sure this one won't hold on much longer. I wish you the best of luck and make sure you take it easy and get plenty of rest.
