3rd Child TOTALLY New Experience HELP

This is my 3rd baby (it's a boy this time though! :) & I was just told at 36 weeks gestation that he is in a Transverse lie :( So I now have to be booked for and early c-section due to a completely effaced cervex, that is already 3 cm opened, and a 2 hour drive to the hospital. I am so SCARED and am hoping that he turns like NOW. Is there anything I can do? I passed up on the EVS or w/e its called because I have a anterior placenta and the risk of an abruption is too high. Also Labour bag items to help me after my C-section? And just stories from ppl who hae had c-sections I need to know how much healing time I am looking at... thank you!
