40 Weeks Are These Contractions Or What

I am 40 weeks along and today is technically my due date. Last night I started to feel tightening of muscles all across my stomach. There was pressure but really no pain. It wasn't even that uncomfortable. Are these the onset of contractions? Also, my doctor wants to induce me on Tuesday if I don't give birth before then, but not for any good reason...it is more I think out of convenience to his schedule. I have read that there can be some issues surrounding induction...is this something that I should do?

why does your doc want to induce you that early, im 8 days over, they are inducing me tue whenim 10 days over and no earlier, he said do it any earlier and the chance of csec because it wont work is higher. im having those tightening contractions too, but bthey are just braxten hicks.

contractions hurt an braxton hicks are not supposed to although ive had them an i dont no if im jus mardy but i think they hurt lol
