I am 38 weeks pregnant and my baby is still extremely active. I have been told that baby should slow down when I am close to giving birth. I know I am still a minimum of 2 weeks away from my due date but this is discouraging to me. Has anyone out there had an active baby all the way to the end?

I don't think it means a whole lot. My mother-in-law said when she had my husband he was extremely active. Even during her labor and delivery! I am now 37 weeks and my baby is still extremely active so I know where you're coming from. My doctor says the movement is very normal and all babies are different, so don't panic and good luck!

My baby never slowed down...she went crazy days before I had her. Every pregnancy is different. Be glad she is active...this means she is healthy

I am 40 weeks pregnant and my baby is still very active. Has spurts of energy and periods of inactivity. Dr. says it's normal. There is a scale of how many movements per hour that you can rate your fetal activity to gauge if you are concerned (especially if inactive). Many websites offer charts etc... Good Luck

Baby only rests for a day or two before labour begins. My guy rested for a few days, and then started up again. It's super frustrating waiting. I know how you feel.
