Ambber was born at 4:38 in the afternoon after being induced around 8am. It was a very easy process. After getting VERY STRONG contractions for about 3 hours I caved and wanted an epidural. By then there was a line and I was SUPER grumpy and in pain. After the epidural I was fine my legs were numb and I was a happy camper. The only semi-problem during the whole labor was that Ambbers heart rate was around 100-115 the nurses werent too worried. I just had to wear an oxygen mask for the rest of the labor which was uncomfortable but needed to keep Ambber healthy. They stopped giving me potocin before the epidural because the contractions were so strong and on top of eachother. But then they didnt give me more because I was moving along just fine on my own. I only had to push for 30 min. and in that time dh was signing and bringing in flowers. After she was born she was wide awake not crying for over 2 hours with eyes wide open the entire time. After the epidural everything was so easy not at all what i was expecting. It was a wonderful experiance i would do it a million more times just to see my baby Ambber again.

Oh! You're sooo lucky! I tried talking my doctor into letting me be induced, but she says its clinic policy that she can't unless I'm over 40 weeks along. I'm so close I can taste it...she said at the next visit (tuesday), we'll set a date to induce. I don't know if this is true, but I was told a full moon could send you into labor, well guess what...it's a full moon tomorrow night and so help me if I'm not in labor by midnight, I'm going to turn my husband into an Eunich...lol!! Congrats on the easy labor, I hope mine goes as smooth as yours went!

yey! finally! after all that waiting she's finally here! I'm so happy for you- congrats! I'm still waiting. I'll be 37 weeks saturday and will start trying to move things along shortly thereafter. My dr estimated him to be around 7 lbs on tuesday so i'm ready to get him out after i'm considered full term. my last son was 9 lbs and i dont want that again.
