Being Induced At 1cm And 50 Any Experiences

I'm due on the 10th and right now I'm still 1 cm and 50%. I have't lost my plug or anything yet. I was going to schedule the induction for the 17th (1 week late) but hospital couldn't fit me in, so It's scheduled for the 13th instead. What progress were some of you at when you were induced and how was the experience? Will my small progress make induction difficult? I really don't want to have to resort to a c-section. They think the baby is pretty small, only about 6 lbs or so, could that make a difference?

I was due on 12/5. Had my appt on 12/7. When they checked me, I hadn't done anything. My dr decided to try to push her finger through to see how soft it was. That worked and put me at 1 cm. She then decided to strip my membranes. She went ahead and scheduled an induction for the 9th. She said there was a chance I would go into labor before that though. With my luck, I didn't. I went into the hospital the night before so they could place a cervical dialator (sp?) in at 7 pm. The next morning, they gave me an enema and started pitocin at 7 am. Everything was going well. At 1pm, she checked me and I was only at 2 cm. I thought for sure this was going to be a long long labor & delivery. I decided to go ahead and get the epidural cuz I was feeling a little pain. Then, all of a sudden, my water broke. I was checked again at 1:45pm and was 9 & 1/2 cm! I was so excited. I thought for sure she would be here in no time. As time pa__sed, I stopped progressing and pitocin was increased. I started feeling awful. Shifts changed and I got a different dr. She checked me and said I was only 7 cm. How is that possible?! I was so mad. From then on, I got very ill (both physically and emotionally). My blood pressure dropped to 43/28 and Icouldn't stop shaking or throwing up. You would think they would be concerned, but no, they just gave me more pain medicine. I was begging for a c-section. I was starving since I hadn't had anything to eat since 5 pm the day before. At 9:45 pm, I felt like something was coming out. The dr came in (who was already annoyed cuz we kept calling her cuz I swore I was dying) and checked me. Finally, 10 cm. I started pushing at exactly 10 pm. My sweetheart was out at 10:07 pm.She was 7 lbs. 12 oz. Looking back on it, it was definitly worth it. I will say that I LOVED being pregnant and the delivery wasn't bad at all...however, the labor sucked!!!

I was induced with my last. I did not progress dialating until they broke my water. I was in hard labor for 5 hours. I broke down and got an epidural and 20 minutes later I delivered my little guy. Good Luck.
