...yesterday at 12:28pm. 8 pounds 5 ounces and 20.5 inches long. 4 hour labor and I was induced. Got an epi at about 6cm's. Pushed for about 15 minutes and about 8 pushes total. He's adorable and I feel SO relieved to not be pregnant anymore as I now have 2 beautiful boys just 11 months apart!!!
For any of you out there that may be due soon with your first and may possibly have had the same apprehension about getting an epidural as I did- let me tell you, modern medicine is beautiful!!!! I didn't get an epi with my first and he somehow practically popped out after about 3.5 hours so I expected the same with this labor. Though this labor was only 4 hours, it hung around 6 cm's a little bit and the pain was just too insane and the doctor said I'm getting one and I didn't argue. Almost instant relief, nothing to it and it was my biggest fear for some stupid reason. I wonder why I didn't get it from the beginning when you realize that it makes the whole thing vitually pain free.
Good luck to all of you that are expecting, it's a beautiful thing...relax, take it as it comes and everything will be fine!

So, you ended up getting one despite your fears. I remember responding to your other posts, and thinking that you weren't going to get an epidural. I am glad to hear things went well for you. Our son turned three months yesterday. It is much different having two children than one. I am so in love with our little guy. Congratulations.
