Cramping And Trying To Have A Bowel Movement

I am 39 weeks pregnant and I had some cramping in my lower abdomen so I went to the bathroom to see if I could have a bowel movement, but couldnt. Why is that?

Most likely braxton hicks, I get it all the time. Either that if you dont have a movement in the next 2-3 days, I would call your doc, cuz you could be constipated.
