I just had my baby on January 18th and I just wanted to tell everyone to make sure they check the placenta after it comes out. They didn't with me and I hemmoraged for 5 hours (losing 2 litres of blood). Then they took me in to surgery and found out it was because some of the placenta was left inside and my body was trying to force it out by bleeding. After the surgery I had to hae a blood transfusion and was extremely swollen because they went in through my va___a (no cutting, just stretching and re-dialating).
