I heard that alot more babies are born on a full moon (and there is one tonight) because the 'pulling' of the amniotic fluid. I am due Sun. Sept. 2nd, and am hoping I"m close enough that it will have an effect on me. My friend is due Thur, and she is in the hospital right now having hers! It could just be coincidence of the full moon, but just wondering if anyone else had experience or comments about this.. Thanks!

I have heard of this, actually my induction that was sheduled with my last baby a couple of years ago was held off for a day because it was a full moon and 5 women had come into L&D that night, so they didn't have room for me, I was SOOO mad! lol. I'm due Sun. Sept. 2 too, so maybe that full moon will do its magic for us tonight! I've been having some pretty strong cramps today, and I went for a bit of a brisk walk a little while ago too, maybe it'll jump start my labour. GL to you!

My little boy was born on the night of January 3rd which is when there was a full moon. A few weeks before he was born I suddenly just knew he was going to be born on a full moon. The moon has such a powerful effect on people, in general, that it doesn't surprise me in the least that a lot of women give birth when there's one.
