I'm curious to know if this horrible feeling of pressure/pain down low on my cervix is going to be instantly relieved after the baby is born, or after the pains from delivery are gone?
Also, do you go back from the hospital with a "hanging" belly? How long does it take for the uterus to contract back to its original size?

I felt so much better after delivery. Everyone is different though. For about 3 or 4 days after delivery it I looked like I was about 5 months pregnant but then every day my stomach got smaller and smaller. I'm 3 weeks pp and my stomach is almost back to normal.

yes you leave with a hanging belly that is horrifying! It is like a big pancake that you can lift up! And yes, your pressure will be gone once you deliver

I've had four children, oldest ten, youngest 3 months. I never had a 'hanging belly' but it was very soft. I guess it depends on how big you've gotten, I was fairly small. That saying, three months post partum this time around after four children, it's taking MUCH longer! I still am unable to fit into any of my pre-pregnancy clothes comfortably. I haven't tried yet to lsoe weight, just eating healthily, but it took alot out of me this time around. First time I was wearing normal clothes a week later...sob!
