Labor Braxton Hicks

Hi. This is my first child. I am in the middle of my 31st week. I just don't want to bother my Doctor unnecessarily. I just feel bad. I haven't felt this tired since my first trimester. My stomach hurts - at first I thought it was just indegestion, then everything felt tight. I vomited, but that didn't make me feel better. I started feeling this way last night. Just YUCK. My back is killing me and the front of my thighs hurt. Ok - now I'm just complaining, but does this sound like labor? I guess it could be Braxton Hicks - or nothing. I'm just nervous. I feel almost like I could have a panic attack any minute. I don't generally have those - have only had one in my life, but I just feel weird. I guess i just want to know if anyone has any suggestions so I don't have to bother my Doctor (AGAIN!). LOL! I have never been a hypochondriac, but pregnancy has made me question EVERYTHING! Oh - my other weird symptom is my resting pulse rate is 115 and my blood pressure is a bit elevated. Sorry this is so long. You're probably thinking "Lord save us from first time mommy worryiers!" LOL! Thank you!

Hi Karen, I will be 32 weeks tomorrow. I too have felt awful, had some of the symptoms like you and I have been cramping pretty bad for the past few days. I had an appt today and everything was fine, cervix still closed. I doubt it is anything, but everyone is different. I would call your doc if you are really worried, better safe than sorry!

Thank you so much ladies for responding! I actually started feeling better after I went and laid down for a while. I had to leave work, but oh well. I just hope I don't start feeling that bad OFTEN. My DH left his work to come home too just in case. I guess I shouldn't be such a drama queen, but I was worried. All of this is just so weird and frightening. I have never had heartburn or gas pain or feet swelling or back pain or nipple pain in my life up until now. I always thought pregnancy would be an enjoyable time. It's really just not. But I am pretty sure it will be worth it! I still don't feel great, but I haven't felt great in a very long time now. LOL! Thanks again and I would love to hear how you feel because then maybe I won't dramatize everything because I can see other people going through things! This actually is a great idea for a forum. Good luck to you both and let me know about your appt. tomorrow!

Well Karen the only thing every one told me with my first child was "don't worry you'll know" I hated that line so I made my own "if you are having doubts about it being time...ITS NOT" try to rest and be patient. I know easier said than done this is my second child and I am 37.5 weeks and feel like im dying my daughter is only 14 months old so keeps me very busy....GOOD LUCK!

Thanks Jammie! I am 37 weeks today and still pregnant, so I guess it wasn't labor! LOL! I actually feel better now than I did then. I am still a first time worrier though! LOL! Three more weeks! YAY! Thank you all for your help - I don't know what I would have done without this board!
