Hi Ladies...for those of you who have already had babies, I'm curious if any of you ever had this...I guess you could call it the OPPOSITE of back labor?? You know how a very common start to contractions and labor is the back labor, correct? Well, mine was opposite...the front of my hips from the very start felt like they were going to crack apart. When I got to the hospital and described it to the nurse at some point, she said she never actually heard anybody describe that before. Have any of you had that or heard of it? I had a very quick, 'easy' labor and am quickly pregnant again and hoping for the same. Just curious if I'm like the only one out there that felt this...

I've never heard of the back labor being a common start, to be honest. My labor started when I got sever menstrual like cramping in the front behind the pubic bone, then eventually the contractions were felt all over the uterus. As for hips cracking apart...I feel that already (34 weeks) when I walk or try to get up. I don't know if it's the same kind of cracking you were talking about, lol.
