They won't induce you unless there is a good reason to - it puts un-necessary strain on you and the baby during the delivery. Your due date is only an average don't forget. You can be term +/- 2 weeks either side. Let nature take it's course, the baby will come when it is ready. Luc, sounds like labour (early though) to me. If her waters break phone the hospital.

If you really want to be induced it doesn't hurt to ask, my doctor asked me if I wanted to be induced at 39 weeks, I want to try without pain meds so pitocin kinda scares me so I said Id rather wait. So not all doctors wait for a reason, if you wanna know ask, some will do it.

s_x and nipple stimulation are safe methods of induction, all other involve unnessecary risk to the baby and can make labor more painful, i had my water broken and since the baby wasn't down far enough the cord got prolapsed and crushed so the nurse had to pull it out which torn me to pieces and st_tches there hurt! my boy was all blue at first from having his air cut off, he ended up fine but i wouldn't do it again, and all my friends say pitocin is excrutiating(plus can drops babys heartrate and result in c section) SAFEST artificial induction have them sweep your membranes(aggitate the bag of waters but not break them) but if doc says no s_x really works
