I am 37 weeks pregnant and I have been feeling real achy the last two days. This morning I woke up with a stuffy nose and have been coughing and sneezing alot. I also have a terrible headache. Since I could go into labor at any time according to my dr. I'm not sure if I should call and go in or if I should just wait it out incase it is a cold and I would look like an idiot going into the dr. for a cold. I'm just not real sure what to do.

why not just try and take some medicne to clear up the symptoms?

I have been. I have been taking over the counter meds since yesterday. I'm just going to wait it out. I was just worried because I live in Indiana and we are suppose to get a TON of snow tonight and I don't want to get worse and then be stuck b/c my dr. office is 45 min. away.

Is anything working at all? If not, it wouldn't hurt to give them a call and see if you can get in and maybe get an antibiotic. Its better to be safe than sorry.

Actually, a cold is a virus, and antibiotics don't kill viruses; only bacteria. If, however, it could be a sinus infection, then antibiotics would help. Take care!!

Thats why I told her to go in.......it could be more than a cold which is why it is best to get checked out.
