Not Sure If Leaking Amniotic Or Urine

I think I lost my mucus plug two days ago. and for the past 2 days have noticed small gushes of watery like liquid. It is not enough to soak through my pants but does get my underwear wet. I went to hospital just to check because my doc is on vacation and it did not happen there so they checked me with some strip that is supposed to change color if amnio fluid present which didnt and sent me home. Is there a way to tell the difference. I am not noticing a strong urine odor.

I was noticing the same thing- at my routine weekly appointment I told my dr and he did a speculum exam and swabed for fluid and checked it under the microscope. It was not amniotic fluid. He said as you get close to the end the baby's head is up against your bladder that it actually can force small amounts of urine out- apparently a common problem. I also noticed it didn't smell like urine- but thats what he said it probably was. Also close to you due date I've read your discharge (yuck) can change in amount and consistency. If they checked it and its not aminotic fluid don't worry- but bring it up to you dr next appointment. If you have in-fact torn your bag you are at risk for infection and they will induce immediately.

I am still feeling the small gushes. I started wearing a pad because it has been happening a couple times a day. Sometimes I think it may just be urine leaking but I noticed on the pad today the leaking was a pinkish color. Could this just be discharge? I may call the hospital tommorow (my doc is still on vacation) Any one have this happen or know what it may be?
