Self Checking Your Cervix

I tried checking my cervix today for the first time and I was wondering if anyone else has done this and got a good idea about dialation etc. I think I am 2-3 cm and 20-50% eff. But as I have never done this before I am unsure how accurate I am. Any comments would be appreciated:)

I always used to check my cervix prepregnancy because we had been trying to conceive for over a year and part of knowing what fertility signs to look for when trying to conceive have to do with position and feel of cervix. I tried checking the other day and it felt like nothing that I remembered prepregnancy! I am so swollen down there that I don't think I could accurately a__sess the condition of my cervix. Good Luck
