I'm 39 weeks pregnant, I'm due Christmas day, but really hope I go earlier or even after . . . I've been having a lot of mucus discharge for a while now, about two weeks I think. Some days there is quite alot of it but it's not discolored, could this possibly be the mucus plug discharging a little at a time? Also I'm experiencing quite a bit of pelvic pressure when I'm standing or walking. I can't really describe it as painful but it is mighty uncomfortable. Does any one know what this could mean? Might it be a sign of early labour?

Yes it is probably your plug coming out...it does not have to come all at once and there does not have to be any kind of bloody show with it...the pressure is probably because the baby has dropped...do you notice the size of your belly being different or it being lower...sounds like you will be going right around your due date...is this first?...good luck

hiya has your dr or miwife told u that the babys heads engaged ? if not thats wat the pressure will be u can feel it ur self if u lie on your bed and use both hands etheir side push down to ur pubic bone and u should feel the head theres no need to do it if ya midwife /dr has told u u r engaged it will just be ya baby coming down , r u having any back pain with it ? and yes it could be ur plug but it can also be a sign that labours on its way wen u start to get a lot of discharge the only way to say for sure if u have started or about to is to get an internal examination from ur midwife or dr they can then tell u how dilated and effaced u are which will give u a better idear of wen wand were u are up to good luck .merry christmas
