Help! I'm 40 weeks and 2days and have been told by my Dr they will induce me in 6 days. I'm desperately hoping I will NATURALLY go before this time as I don't want to be induced, but my cervix is closed long and hard... does anyone have any suggestions for fixing this other than s_x and playing with your nipples.

Hi Allison!! I was worried about my cervix through my pregnancy since it was stenotic, so I've been taking evening primrose oil, 3 capsules a day starting at 37 weeks and when I went to the doc I was 90% effaced and now at 38 I'm almost 100% but I'm not dialating at all, but I have to give credit to the evening primrose oil. My cervix is still hard so this weekend I'm going to put 3 capsules into my v____a before I go to bed, so you may want get some and take 4 orally and then you can squeeze the oil into one of those applicators for yeast infections and inject it into your v____a before you go to bed, I've learned all of this out of my midwife herbal book. good luck hun!!

Lots and lots of walking might help. I've heard of people trying fresh pineapple as well.

Evening Primrose Oil Caplets found in the vitamin section. Take them oraly or put them inside you by your cervix. It sure helped me! They are 100% safe and effective
