I am so confused right now! I have been reading online and nothing seems to describe what I am feeling, so I am just going to go ahead and ask! For the last 2 hours I have been having severe pain (like someone is sticking a knife in) in my lower back that then travels through the lower part of my stomach and into my legs. I do not feel the tightening in the upper stomach like I keep reading about! They were 6 minutes apart and now have moved to 5 minutes apart. Does this sound like true labor or braxtons? Thanks to anyone who can give me a little bit of a piece of mind!

It sounds like you are having contractions. My mom told me that all her contraction pain was in her lower back and her legs. I would call my dr. just to be safe.
