I've been having these horribly crippling pains in my lower abdomen just above my pubic bone since last night around 11:30. They will start to have a pattern, like they'll happen every 10 minutes and last 30 seconds to a minute and then they'll just stop for like half an hour to an hour and then start up again. What the heck is going on? Are these real labour contractions or is this false labour? Because there is nothing false about this pain! Somebody tell me should I go to the hospital or wait till they get worse....it's been a whole day now of pain, when will it end?

They sound like the contractions I have but if they aren't staying in a pattern and lasting longer than a minute I would say they are probably early labour. Have you had any other signs or just the cramping? Of course his depends on how far you are but if you are concerned phone the hospital/midwife and talk to them.

Do you have a fever or burning/aching when you pee? With certain bladder or kidney infections you can also get spasms that take on rythmic patterns. Since you are due in 9 days it is probably BH's or you are gettting ready for labor but if you have a slight fever or feel achy and unwell I would get seen.

Well, I delivered my beautiful baby boy on May 2 at 12:26am. Guess they were early labour contractions...when I got to the hospital I was already 9cm dilated! I pushed him out in 16 minutes!!!
