I am soooo tired of being pregnant. I was at the doctor two weeks ago and she said I was dilated 1 cm. That was fine considering it was too early then anyway. Well, over the weekend I started having back pains, diarrhea, and menstrual like cramps that have progressively gotten worse over the past few days. I went in this morning only to find out that I'm only dilated a little over 1cm but the pain is real. I am so ready for her to be here and its driving me crazy because I cannot afford to miss work before she gets here because I want all my time off to be spent with her and its uncomfortable to work with the pain. Doc said she could not give me anything for the pain because it might slow things down even more and that I have to deal with it. I wish I knew of a way to speed things up. I'm going try walking. Sex hasn't worked. Thats for sure.

I was dilated 1 cm for 2 weeks and I tried everything ... I can understand your frustration. I walked as much as I could on a daily basis, had s_x (as uncomfortable as it was), and even did a little nipple stimulation. I really think its all about nature taking its course. We tried everything as well and finally had to be induced. When I got to the hospital (prior to the inducion), I was actually having contractions about 5 mins apart though I still got pitocin and had my membranes ruptured artificially. My little one arrived 12 hrs later. Keep doing what you're doing ... I think it does help in the long run. Best wishes for a safe and uneventful delivery!
