I am scheduled to be induced on Monday, which will put me at 41 weeks to the day. Im scared that the baby isnt ready, and if I dont progress fast enough they will give me a cesarean... any thoughts?

I was induced at 39 weeks. I had a great experience with the induction!!! My ds had a great set of lungs on him. At 41 weeks your baby will be fine. It's better for him/ her to be born now.

Hey Rachael, if you are worried the induction won't be successful, ask that they not break your water until labor has been well-established. For most docs, whether you have any signs of infection or not, once they break your water they will insist that you deliver within a certain amount of time. This is a questionable practice, along with a__signing arbitrary cervical dilation rates/hour. I am not a doctor, and I only offer an opinion here, but at 41 accurate date weeks you should do well. Good Luck to you!

I found that my induction at 41 weeks was very successful. The only reason that I had a C-section at all was the baby was too big for my pelvis, and I had a cervix flap issue. The induction itself went fabulous, and I actually rapidly sped up with dilation after I got my epi. Good luck to you, don't fear, you will do great!!!
