After Labor What Then

I understand the pain and symptoms of labor. I get the relief you feel when you hold the baby in your arms. How is recovery? Painful to sit? Tired? How will I feel?

i had a bad episiotomy with my first, it was painful to use the bathroom but i was able to be up and around without much discomfort. it felt *too* good and i ended up WAY overdoing things, yaknow, trying to be super mom and all. i wore myself out. with my second i took my time getting back to my normal life, i let my husband do alot of the house work and baby care so i could rest. i pretty much laied in bed and nursed for the first week. when i finally came out of my bedroom i felt wonderful. i'd suggest getting one of those hemmeroid pillows to keep pressure off your tender parts while you heal. i took alot of warm baths, it was very soothing. i think i had 3 baths a day. lol. sleep when ever you can. it takes time, and even when your bdy is feeling better your mind needs time too. lots of hormone adjusting going on. your first priority is to your self and your baby.
