I am due Dec 3rd, so I am just shy of 39 weeks. The baby dropped maybe two weeks ago and since then I have been peeing every 8-10 minutes. No fun, also I am thirsty all the time. I feel sluggish and lazy. No show and nothing more than BH contractions. I am so hoping that I don't make it to my next appointment on Tuesday. Good luck ladies.

Well just like u Kristen I'm due Dec 5th, although my baby hasn't dropped yet. This has been concerning me and my doc as well. He said that he feels if we wait too long that the baby will be to big for me to deliver v____ally. So he told me that we need to consider talking about a c-section which is fine with me, but I'm just wondering that if the baby doesn't end up dropping, should I be concerned about it? And do any of you ladies know if they will still be able to cut me at the bikini line? Also I was wondering (this is a little off the subject), I've been going to the bathroom more frequently. I normally go like 2 or 3 times a week, but now I've been going almost everyday, sumtimes even 2 times a day. Is that a sign of labor? Or getting ready for labor?

im 37 weeks and my third child, after 2 boys im getting my girl. i have been having all these symptons for about the last 3 weks and i just want her out. for those that are wanting toknow about early labour pain, i can only discribe it as being like mild period pain that comes and goes but is consistant. my first i was induced and only 4 1/2 hours of labour but my second was only 9 1/2 mins so im kind of hoping that this one will be the same but having a different partner i have been told by my midwife can effect the labour and birth differently to my other 2, so im a little worried, its like im going through this for the first time, but still knowing the pain i have to go through, just got to remember 'it will come to an end'.

Katie - my first baby engaged with 8 weeks to go and didn't arrive until 4 days before his due date. I lost the plug 9m on Fri night, fell asleep, woke up at 3.30am at the pushing stage and bub arrived at 5.30am. So I skipped the whole contractions stages and everything. It really is different for everyone and the worst thing is during those last 3 weeks or so wondering if every little thing is a labour sign. It will happen when bub is ready so you just have to wait it out... best of luck to all of you!!

Hi, I'm 37 1/2 weeks pregnant. Last Sunday, I had a false alarm. I was having contractions every 5 minutes for an hour and the pain has increased below my umbilicus to my back. So I decided togo to the hospital. When Icame in I was only 1 cm, and after 2 more hours I only progressed to 2 cm. The doctor decided to send me home since "It's still to early." according to her. The contractions stopped altogerther since I came home. Too much anticipation, huh... NOw sice last night I have been having diarrhea. I got concerned and called my doctor today, she said, it's an early sign of contractions due to my "prostaglandin". She mentioned about castol oil, but when I ask her how, she obviously changed the subject. I am really tired... and want this baby out soon. I don't know what a mucus plug looks like either. On my first pregnancy, I just broke my water (like gushing), so there was no question that it was time. Please continue to posts your experiences, because I can relate. Also tell me more about the mucus plug and the castor oil. Thanks...

I was having like BH contractions yesterday every 10 min for like 3 hours....but it never got really strong or anything and i know they say if you have more than 4 in an hour then you should go to the doctor....well mine just stoped...at 3pm they just stoped and havn't had one since..it was really weird..lol oh by the way kristen....im due December 3rd too!! lol are you having a boy or a girl? im having a girl..I CAN'T wait!!! well i can wait untill after thanksgiving..i want me some turkey lol good luck girls!

I hope it's not too late for me to join in on the posts. I'm due Dec 6 and feeling exactly the way you guys do. My next appointment is on the 1st. Hopefully I dont make it. My baby is dropped, my cervix has softened. My last appointment (23rd), the doc asked if I wanted my cervix checked. I wished I would've said no, b/c I'm no dilating AT ALL! Good luck all.

impatientMamma are you still out there?...or did you do the castor oil?..lol did it work!?!?! i have 7 days left until my due date....i can't wait!!!

i know how you all feel this is my 4th baby im due dec.3rd and going crazy only 7 days away but this is the longest pregnancy i have ever had i had the rest at 38 weeks. guess he is just a slow mover i have been 3 cm dialated and 70% effaced for 2 weeks no and have had no symptoms that he is comming soon. but doc says that she will schedule my induction mon. if he has not come so either way he'll be here in a few days good luck all

Jessie, I tried the castor oil... TWICE!!!! Nothing!!!!!! still no baby.. :( I'm going CRAZY!!!!! How are you doing? I hit my due date in TWO DAYS!

Hi, did anybody give birth already? I'm still waiting, and the waiting kills me. I'm 38 1/2 weks now. I can sleep well at night, still having diarrhea once in a while, leg cramps at night. If you ask me, I feel cranky, tired, bored, ugly and fat. My only consolation this time is that I will see my baby soon, and all these things will be over. So far, for some reson I have less BH than before, what's with that? I thought it would be more as the due date comes neares and more intense. I hope I don't have to wait unt_t my due date or maybe even longer than that. I'm about to get crazy.... Good luck to all...

impatientMamma, today is your due date?..well hopefully your baby will be right on time!! i have bad news for me...:( i went to the doc on monday and im only 1cm dialated and 50% effaced...and my due date is in 3 days....if i havn't gone into labor by next monday when my next appointment is..he said we would have a talk about induction...which is very scarey considering that a lot of inductions end up as c sections because of stalled labor...but i guess whatever will get her outa me!! lol the waiting is killing me...i went out and bought more baby clothes and stuff last night and im just like ahh i can't wait till shes here then i can buy stuff with her with me lol i got lil bath sets you know with the hooded towels lol they are so cute..I can't wait to use them :( *sigh* I hope you go into labor today!!! good luck!!

My due date is today and NOTHING!!!!! Jessie, you should try the castor oil. It worked for my aunt with all three of her pregnancies without a hitch!!! I tried it and it wasn't as bad as I had feared, though obviously it didn't result in a baby. BUT then.. I have NO DILATION, and no Braxton Hicks or any symptoms that seem as if labor is remotely close.to labor, and the doctor won't induce because I am not at all dilated (he said because i'm not dilated, it wiould probably end in a c-section). BUT "they won't let it go past 2 weeks from now." I just want to cry.

hi all ime 38+2 and so uncomfortable and scared i want this baby to come out now ive been having signs strong braxton hicks lower back ache and some pains low down but ive had that for over a week and still nothing i have to lift my belly over at night when i turn its so heavy i feel like fluish symptoms but ive had that for a while only 2 weeks to go why does it drag on so long at the end eeeeeeeeek good luck all

my bf doesn't want the doctor to induce my labor. He is afraid i will have to have a c section and he says he doesn't want me to go through the pain and have the scar...how sweet huh? lol but hey hes not the one that has to take the pain and push a BABY out his crotch lol....Im afraid to try the castor oil cuz some people say it causes merconium....Im just so scared tho...omg...i've been having this weird discharge..its like snot....lol im thinking that its my mucus plug or something...i dunno but its GROSS....pregnancy is GROSS...i mean its beautiful cuz u know u make a baby...but its just so gross....nasty discharge uncontrolable gas...vomiting....ugh...horrible....lol well good luck to u all....and im just hoping this lil girl will say..."i want out NOW!" and deside to come on time lol

Jessie, there are many rumors surrounding Castor Oil, and the only real danger with a healthy pregnancy is dehydration (doctors aren't exactly pro co, but....). Make sure you drink a lot fluids and possibly chicken or veg broth for the electrolites after the diareah and all should be fine. Meconium is caused by fetal distress, not castor oil. I only took castor oil under the guidance of my aunt, a nurse, who had success with it for all of her 3 pregnancies. I took 3 table spoons of castor oil chased by orange juice (cuts the gross consistency of castor oil). It really wasn't bad, and the poops weren't so bad either. Of course, it didn't work for me, but I'd try it again... I would recommend trying it because it just may be the magic touch for you.
