i had it with my daughter but it was a last minute thing i couldnt keep water down i go to the hospital and they induce me and i have her the next day but at the beggining of this pregnancy my bp was just fine 102-110/40-60 so i was normally low but then i started getting protien in my urine they have done two 24 hour urine anylisis but they come back fine and today i go in and i have large amounts of protien in my urine and my bp is 152/90 so they lay me down check the baby and take it again and then it was 122/80 which they have been concerned about my bp before and they told me that if my bp got over 130/75 to call them so im worried that i might get it again and they told me i could but it was highly unlikely and slowly for the past 6 weeks my bp has been climbing so i was just wondering if anyone else has had this

i had high blood pressure at 14wks pregnant, was my 1st baby, and my mother had it with me (pre eclampsia) i was so sick and monitored all thero my pregnancy and i gave birth 3 wks early because my waters broke and had to be induced coz there was no sign of him, my placenta was falling to bits from high blood pressure during my pregnancy and i heard you are at higher risk of getting it again. since i had pre eclampsia before 21 wks of pregnancy the doctor told me im at even mroe risk of getting it in a future pregnancy, some women develop it at the end of their pregnancy (like one of my friends) and then are totaly fine with the next pregnany!

I had high bps with my first, when I had simply a trace of protein they whipped me in - my bps had been getting scary for over 10 weeks, I was 39 weeks and they just decided enough was enough...With my 2nd child my bps went loopy and the I moved into pre-e stage at about 33 weeks...they kept me under strict watch for almost 3 more weeks and then again decided it was getting far too risky...my daughter was born at a day shy of 36 weeks - perfectly healthy...My 3rd child I was told not to even expect to get beyond 37 weeks..It was bound to happen again! I went full term and beyond !!!! I had no symptoms whatsoever! I was on meds that time for my bp..so I think pre-e for me starts with my blood pressure..it was strictly controlled and was never allowed to escalate...Thtas my theory anyway - for me - and I'm hoping it will work out that way this time too! My bps are a steady 130-140/80-90..I'm just 26 weeks too so it will probably go up a bit yet..As long as my bottom reading doesn't go over 95 they let me be...But the first sign of a second symptom - swelling or protein and I'm in hospital for a 2/3 stay each time....Your bp does tend to rise towards the latter stages of the third trimester but I would have thought with a 2nd symptom they would be more concerned....

I honestly don't know that - but I do that I was and am told cos of my elevated bps the minute I see swelling I have to phone my maternity unit or dr....You are now experiencing the third - with the protein as well...I would be contacting someone - even if it were just to be told to chill....
