this afternoon when i got out of bed i noticed that my sheets had a little wet spot but when i smelled, it didn't smell like urine. i went to use the restroom and layed down for a little while and when i got up my shorts were wet but nothin else has happened since then. did my water break?

Sounds like you have a slow leak, how far along are you? It could also be urine leaking without smell. But especially if you are early, you should get checked if this keeps up. Urine can pool in the v____a when one lays down and then a bit dribbles out onto your clothes. A total leak will continue wetting your clothing while you are up and about.

If your water breaks you'll know it, it is a gush, and like djh said it will continue to get things wet. Also the fluid has a distinct almost s____n like smell, and it is kinda sticky, at least it was for me.

well i thought that my water was leaking cause my pants were soaked everyday and i had to change my panty liner like every 30 min to an hour but when i went to the doc they told me that it was just the good bacteria that keeps you from getting a yeast infection producing ma__s quant_ties and then when they die is produces a clear fluid which has no smell so this might be what your experincing

djh, actually urine CANNOT pool in your v____a. Urine doesn't come out of your v____a. It comes out of your urethra. Did you mean amniotic fluid can pool in the v____a, and then spill out when you get up--b/c that is true.*******Missketa, please call your doc.

Hey Lala, actually urine can pool in the v____a. When I had preterm labor with my youngest son he had done some weird gyrating hyper activity stuff and was kicking on my bladder. I thought nothing of it and fell asleep with my kids for a nap. When I woke up and stood up a small gush of fuid escaped from my v____a and due to preterm probs I rushed to the ER. They performed the lithmus test to check for amniotic fluid and it was urine. When you lay supine small amounts of urine can make its way into the v____a. With my son's activity and me already laying down that is what happened. I was grossed out, but since I am almost done with RN school I now know that urine is sterile when it leaves the body (until exposed to air and particulates) so it isn't that big a deal I guess. I know why that sounds confusing though, LaLa :-) I wonder what has happened with missketa?
