hi all, today i have had such a sudden rush of energy, hoovering cleaning floors and even changed my bedroom around, i am 39 weeks and 5 days pregnant with my 4th child and have never experienced this before, i wondered whether this is a sign of labour and how long it usually takes to go into labour when this occurs, i will be gratefull for any advice at all, thanks

It is called "nesting". It is a womans instinctual way of prepring for birth. Your body may know something that you aren't privy to yet. If you are just about 40 weeks I would say you have a definite chance of going in to labor any time. Let me know what happens in the next week or so. good luck!

its the nesting instinct, having urges to clean, organize and things like that.. i did this but i also did alot of arts and crafts, it only lasted about a week or 2 lol... its a gene called 'mest' wich is a mothering instinct gene some women inherit from their farthers!.

hi all, just an update, i got up this morning and was totally knackered, havent even had the energy to take my kids to school, is my body preparing me now or am i getting excited for no reason, please help need advice, my baby is due tomorrow.

Your body is getting ready, try and get as much rest as you can just relax a bit, maybe a warm bath.
