hahahaha I trimmed mine at my last visit because I wanted her to do an internal and check me as I am 39 weeks.

It's nice to have company on the subject! I have been fully shaved for years. I like the way it looks, feels, etc....and my sweetie likes it too (he also shaves). I am now 38 weeks pregnant and shaving is very hard, but I still manage it (not without some cuts). Also, as a nursing student I have had maternity rotations and although nurses/doctors won't say anything about it, they also appreciate a clean shave!

I have shaved and waxed, but cant bring myself to wax all the time, so it is mostly shaving, and have done so since I cant remember! he he I also hate hair "done there" with a vengence, will get it all laser removed permanently one day. I make sure I am completely shaven, smooth and clean for any Dr/OB visit. And when I am pregnant I will still maintain it with vigilence, and esp during the birth!! :) If people are going to be looking and prodding/poking around I want it to look decent! I would feel dirty/uncomfortable or embarra__sed any other way, personal preference though. :)

I usually shave it all off but as I am about to go in to hospital to have my baby I shaved about a week ago and have left it to grow back a bit so that I am not totally clean shaven.

I shave too. I do admit its getting harder. I have to like lean over the belley lol. I can't picture how I am going to be able to get down there once I get bigger. I don't have the money for waxing, any suggestions? I think its pretty normal. I can't stand the hair either so dont feel wierd lol.

I heard that nair fumes will hurt the baby? true?

Doubtful, just dont get it in you or near that area lol Mirrors would work well or your partner to do it for you, the shaving when huge that is :) Goodluck all :) xo

i have a question for u girls... have u had any razor bumps... i would trim or shave, but now i have this red bump that just won't go away and it's really painful. i would like to shave again, but i'm afraid to get a lot of them.. any way to get rid of those red bumps??? sorry if this is tmi, but sometimes i notice that they turn into pimples..very gross.. i'm 24 weeks now and i'm finding it hard to get in there too.. haha.. it's funny you girls should mention, but my hubby offered to shave.. which is strange, bcuz it's so NOT like that.. very reserved... it must be crazy down there.. hahaha

wow i thought i was the only one getting these razor bumps. nice to know that its not like cancer lol. I am not sure about how to get rid of them. I have tried lotion after, shaving cream either of those worked for me... anyone else have some ideas im curious about this also

i was reading somewhere to go see a doctor if they persist for more than couple of weeks... mine i've had for couple of months now.. it kinda dried up and went away and another one just came up a week ago and i haven't even shaved... but it's besides the one from before.. i can't stand them and they are painful.. i think i will mention it to my doc next time i go...

I have always shaved ever since I was 18 years old. The red bumps are probably razor bumps...or in grown hairs....but I haven't got any bumps like that in a long time. I found that you have to shave in certain directions to keep in pretty ( no bumps). Also you undies could be irrating it.

I shave everything down there and don't plan on stopping, so should be interesting. :)

vanja10 -just watch out shaving around those bumps cause they could be little skin tags. My midwife said it is common to get them there and on your neck during pregnancy. If it doesn't go away that is probably what it is.

I shave too - did pre- baby and will throughout my pregnancy- although DH will have to help me when i get to big to see down there. I use an electric though so its not perfectly smooth. The red bumps- i get them once and a while. they are ingrown hairs and pimples- I read somewhere to use acne pads on them. It actually works. I shave b/c DH likes it that way and b/c i hate the wild forest look...

i personally prefer to just be trimmed that way the hair is not long enough to stick you or get caught in the elastic of your underwear and you are not quite bald i sheaved one time before and the itching when it grew back was unbearable also i sort of felt like it made me look like a 13 yr olds croch so i personally dont like to be bald down there. I as well sit backwards on the toilet and use hair clippers or a mens beard shaver and they also make them especially for a woman now. also if you like the baldness better have you tried home waxing it may be a bit painful but it works and watch out with the nair although it works wonders it can cause skin irritation especially if you accidently get some aon the inside or to near it
