hi i had this done at 37 wks and it was a complete success, the dr kept saying, well done your doing really well but to be honest i hardly felt anything! just slight period pains, got some contractions afterwards but they settled after i was allowed to get back up and walk around, the worst part for me was the drugs they gave me to relax my uterus i just felt a bit shaky and had slight palpitations, but it was so worth it!! as it's my 4th and i didn't want a c section as i've never had to have one before, going in to be induced today at term + 9 days and baby has stayed head down ever since, god i'm nervous!!

My best friend tried it. She said it was pretty painful and it didn't work for her. Her baby was 10 lbs. 6 oz., though (exact same weight as one of mine- lol). He stayed breech and was born by c-section. He had been so crammed in there that he was folded in half and his legs stayed up around his head for a few days after delivery and had to be ma__saged down. So, it is very likely that hers was so painful and unsuccessful due to his size! Maybe normal sized babies are easier to manipulate. Good luck- hope it works for you and turns out like Michellem's.
