I have been having stomach pains, all day, not sure if they are contractions or not. Im 35 weeks and this is my first. The dr. said they were a few weeks ago, but they were braxton hicks. I've also been cramping like a period and now I have pains down 'there'... They aren't actually where the baby comes out.. but they are like on the sides of my va___a. I've also got diahrrea now and my back hurts.. Should I go to the ER and get checked out tonight or should I just wait and see if it gets worse or not.. Im not sure what to do.. My mom tells me to go but I dont want to go and the dr think Im stupid bc there aren't any signs of actual labor...

Your situation sounds similar to mine. I was 35 1/2 weeks when I had loose stool, crampiness and intermittent contractions. We didn't go in until I was having contractions every 5 minutes- when we got there things seemed to be progressing- but with fluids and some pain medicine everything stopped. It's been 6 days now and nothing else. I dilated to 4 but now I'm waiting. I think if you still feel that crummy you should call your doctor. In the night if it gets real bad- go into the ER, that's their job. They won't laugh at you or ridicule you, though they may send you home (that's what they did with me). Hang in there- what's your due date? Mine is August 21.

I also had that feeling on the sides of the v____a. my dr. told me they were because of stretched ligaments that are around the uterous pulling on the v____a and a__s. I had pain in my b___t to. ive also had perios like cramps since about 32 weeks im just about 39 now. if you feel you should go in go in its better to be safe and make you feel better then if anything is wrong. i doupt anything is wrong if our not having regular contractions or your water hasnt broke. just take it easy if you can thats what my dr. told me to do. the pains never went away but they did get a bit better.

If those pains are regular, get stronger and closser together, and do not go away, I would go just in case. I would rather be safe than sorry, you have had many labour symptoms like the diahrea and back pains. Dont worry about your doctor it is his or her job to be there for you. You are not out to make friends with the doctor just to look after yourself and your baby.
