How Do U Tell When Labor Is Close

i am 41 weeks and i lost my bloody show today i have been having mild sometimes bearly noticable cramps and my lower left side of my back has been hurting all day but not like really really bad! and my baby has been more active off and on today and yesterday than in the past week or so! SO IS LABOR CLOSE?

thanks i was hoping so i am so misrable and excited hopefully before monday my doctor left today for Gaudamala and have an appointment monday with a replacment doctor and my doctor said that on monday they will prob. induce me cause i will be a week and a half over due and i really dont want to be induced

I hope you don't have to be either, but it does make for easier labor...because you're at the hospital, they can give you meds right away, so you won't have to deal with too many pains! But then again, inducing does cause for stronger labor pains....

i have heard that and my sister inlaw was induced with her second baby and she was induced at 11am and didnt have the baby till 3am the next morning and i am not one to be to happy with being pumped full of medication i mean she had 7 diffrent things going in to her IV and she bearly knew what was going on i am the type of person that likes to know whats going on at all times. I wish that there was a way to speed the whole labor thing up!! Other than inducing that will work i mean i have been cleaning like crazy since this my cramps started and they are a little worse but not much!!!
