I think you should have another opinion befor induction my sister was a 7 month pregnancy and she was hospitallized for awhile but I think if doc sais it's ok then you should go with your gut and heart, but if it was me I would get another opinion seeing babys lucgs are still developing at 37 weeks

bb-
I had my first daugter at 28 weeks and she is perfectly healthy. She did spend about 10 weeks in the NICU but other than that she has had no problems, she is a little small, we call her "our runt". Please dont worry the nurses and dr's in the NICU's are amazing and they can do so much for babies now. My daughter is 5 yrs old now and technology has done nothing but improve since then. Good luck!!

While preeclampsia is not something to mess with, you might want to explore the option of being monitored in the hospital and taking medication for the high blood pressure for a few weeks. It seems kind of drastic to take a baby out that early if it's not an emergency. The baby would probably be okay, but it would probably have to go to the nicu as well.

I work with a woman who was considered "high risk" because she, too, had pre-eclampsia. She was on bed rest for a few weeks, but still had her son at 36 weeks - and he weighed over 8 lbs.!!!!! He's completely healthy and robust, and just turned 2!!

Depending on how big your baby is, everything should be fine. My aunt delivered her baby at 28wks after uterus eruption, her baby was 2 1/2 lbs and was in the hospital for 2 months but she is healthy now and just turned 5 months old. They say the chances of a baby living at 2lbs are very high because of technology. You also have to realise that having your baby inside you might be more dangerous than delivering early.
