Labour And Your Storys

I still don't see labor or delivery as a wonderful thing, if I could have my own baby without having to give birth I would. In other words, delivery might have been more "wonderful" if I was dad. The best part of it was that it was over, the next best part was that I had a baby.

I agree. Once the baby comes out, the pain is gone ! I'm pregnant with child #4. Never had pain meds with any of my deliveries. If things go right and you just concentrate on what you're doing, you'll sort of go into a fog and I promise when they put that baby on your belly --- the pain will be gone! The building could be on fire and you wouldn't know. Just picture your bundle of joy and focus at the job at hand and you'll do fine !

Labor wasn't so bad for me. I was contracting for 5 hours...and had to push for 3 hours and this is my first pregnancy. I didn't even get the epidural shot. It all depends how dilated you are. So good luck. Once you see your precious little one, the labor process isn't so bad. Just remember when you're pushing don't push too hard and fast that you cause yourself major tear. The only pain I had was the recovery of my tear. Good luck!
