It could take you afew days, sometimes longer to go into labour. If you aren't contracting and your waters haven't broken then don't anic too badly just let your care provider know.

Well i started having contractions about an hour after i lost my mucus plug. i was in labor for about 30 hours before having my son. But i know that this doesnt happen to everyone. im glad it happened to me though because the mucus plug was a sign that labor was here.

I lost my MP yesterday and now I am dialated to "about 6cm" but to be honest I was at about 4 cm for the last 3 weeks. I am having stronger contractions now though. It means that things are happening, they could be happening very slowly though. I was told by the ladies in the Labour and Delivery room that it could take 2 hours, 2 weeks or more. They told me to go lay down on the couch and come back when my water breaks. I wish I could be of more help, but honestly I am wondering the same thing. Good Luck and Take Care!!!

I lost mine a few days ago and have been having light pains ever since. my doc said anywhere from a few hours to a few days and in some cases a week or more.

I went into labor within a hour after losing the plug. My son was born a few hours later. I also had loose stools just before and after the plug pa__sed. It was my first baby.
