Im am 37 weeks pregnant as of tomorrow... and I think I have been possibly loosing it slowely... because it did look like how it was described in some of these answers, but it is just thicker clear liquid, I just thought it was increased dischange to tell you the truth, but it probably was part of the mucus plug. I am so excited to get this baby out and meet him....and sick of being pregnant already!

I slowley lost my mucus plug it came out in little pieces over a couple of days. my dr said that can be normal because your mucus in your body is always replenishing its self.

I have been losing my mucus plug for over a week now, but it's not only a little bit at a time, it's a lot. The first parts that I lost were tinged brown (probably from old blood), and since then it has just been large clumps of yellow mucus (with a Jello consistency), but it is there everytime I urinate.

I'm 2 days overdue now. I lost my mucus plug two nights ago, and I'm still having a thick gooey discharge that is there everytime I go to the bathroom. Does that mean I am dilating?

I have been showing signs of losing my mucus plug for 2 weeks and Im 32 weeks pregnant. I haven't had any signs of labor or pain.

I'll be 39 wks tomorrow and today I noticed that when I used the restroom alot of discharge came out. It wasn't yellow, green or anything like that but white and stringy like snot. It didn't smell like anyting strong. It barely smelled at all. Could that be parts of my mucous plug???

BRit, I have had the same thing happen for the past could of days, From what I am reading of other people thgat is what it could be. But it also doesnt mean anything, they say that when you lose your mucus plug it can be anywhere from weeks to days before labour begins. I also asked my doctor about it and he told me that not everyone loses it, to not worry about it, because I was concerned that it had not happened. I was under the impression that you had to bleed but he told me that was false.

Kristiie - August 24

Does anyone know if it's possible to go into labour before losing your mucus plug, or if losing it while you're in labour is possible?

Mich - August 24

Kristiie: My doctor told me that not everyone loses it before labour, that it could be lost while in labour. I was wondering this as well because I didnt understand what it meant. He also told me that it doesnt have to be bloodie, that the only reason there would be blood would be because labour is happening.

claya- I have been leaking milk since i was 20 weeks and i have with all of my pregnancies-this is my third. kristie- no you don't have to lose ur plug until you go into labor. thats what happened when i went in with my son. woke up in the middle of the night with pains 4 mins apart. went to the washroom and i lost my plug (which was just a big pink glob of mucus) then i went to the hospital and he was born a little after 3 pm the same day.
