is it safe to try to bring on labour at 37 +1 MY LITTLE BOYWASBORN AT 36+4 AND now i feellike i am overdue

Last Thursday I was 2 cm and 50% effaced so Saturday I Drank a whole box of that raspberry leaf tea(put sugar in it), I have also been taking the evening primrose oil capsules since Friday , I think it has helped I have been feeling more contractions. THe whole deal with the EPO capsules is that they may take a few days it is a hormonal way of inducing labour.It is supposed to regulate prostaglandins, which is a hormaone that helps the cervix efface , dialate and start contractions. We will find out tomorrow when I go to the doctor. I have also bought a bottle of Castor Oil just in casebut the way everyone make it sound-taste wise terrifies me.-I 'll keep you updated if you see no more responses from me you know what that means!!!!!!! I tried castor oil yesterday. Drank 4tbsp. with oj at 5am, and 4 more at 10:30 am. I've been feeling more cramps and spotting...but the baby is still 5 days over due! Maybe the full moon this Wednesday is going to have an effect!

You can go and get a pedicure. There is a pressure point in your foot that makes you go into early labor.

Im 39 weeks and counting,I was induced with my first child and hoping to go into labour naturally this time. Been walking alot and having s_x,nothings working so far,now what

I am due today... nothing is happening. I tried the castor oil last friday drank the whole bottle with OJ , It didn't really taste that bad. But it did nothing. I have been walking, weeding the garden, mowing the lawn. I don't think anything really works girls. I'm just waiting and hoping. Maybe tonight get a little nookie, and see where we go from there! It's my first baby so I'm expecting to ba a little late... hoping I don't have to wait until July 2 for induction. will keep you all posted. Patience is the key.

I am from an old southern family whose roots date back to the west indies and africa.all of the women were midwifes and eventually became nurses.castrol oil only works if your stool can have enough pressure to trigger contractions.the only method guarented to work however it's painfull, would be to walk untill till you start having braxt hicks, then sit on a hard floor and reach for your toes. let some one hold your feet.(stretch untill you can't stand it) after that drink something hot (tea, coffee,etc) and stand!please be at least 39 weeks. and be prepared for a quick painfully labor. but then that's why everyone is here on this site.there have been no problems reported from my grandmother except the moms wish they would have be patient and didn't rush nature but to each it's on

HELP! I'm due July 2 but nothing has happened. The baby isn't even head down and hasn't decended into the pelvis yet. What can I do to get things rolling?

How long before labor after the baby's head has dropped very low into the pelvis?

Im due day after tomorrow and my baby hasn't even dropped yet. I think I might have lost my mucus plug and have really bad cramps but thats about it. It's my first baby but they say the baby can even drop a few hours before delivery so I hope I'll have my baby here with me soon because I can't seem to wait anymore. I have my doctor's appointment tomorrow so lets see what he says. I hope he induces me soon.

My due date was today...and doctor told me monday that the baby is very low and that i would prolly be delivering this week...but i wanna kno for sure!!! what do yall think?

due june 27th,still nothing happening minor cramps,seen doc yesterday and was upset to hear its mandatory to have to wait 10 days after due date to be induced,getting frustrated. He didnt reccomend I try castrol oil say it may make me sick,just keep walking and having s_x. Good luck to u all. I will keep you posted.

Nicole...if u dont mind me asking..where are u located? I have a doc appointment tomorrow and n im due day after tomorrow. I hope i dont have to wait another 10 days because i cant handle the braxton hicks anymore..im in a lot of pain.

ok I'm really scared. I need some advice. I had a doc appointment today and I am due on sunday. She said that they will talk about inducing if I dont deliver 7 days after my due date. I have been having really bad cramps and have lost my mucus plug but no baby. I told her that my sister is getting married and I was wondering if they could induce me a little earlier than waiting until 7 days. I thought she would say no but she said OK!!! she scheduled me to go in on tuesday to get the gel and then if that doesn't work, on wednesday they will start the IV. I thought thats what I wanted but I'm so scared all of a sudden. I feel like I'm not ready to have the baby any more and that it can stay in there as long as it wants. Is this normal? Can i call off the induction now? Will they know I was lying if I don't call it off and they do end up inducing me? I know it was wrong to say that and the baby will come when it's ready but I wish now that I hadn't said anything to her. Somone please give me some advice. Please dont be mean or criticize. Thanks alot.
