hi all mommies to be,, i was on this forum 7 months ago before i had my baby girl and it was a lot of help.. im on infant care forum now.. anyway this is for my friend.. she's now on her way to the hospital for a scan.. she's due on January 16th and she had a healthy pregnancy until now.. this will be her second baby.. last week, she was scheduled for a scan and her baby's weight measured 2.2 kgs,, they told her everything is ok but her baby will be a small one.. yesterday she went for another scan and her dr told her that her baby's heartbeats are not normal and she only gained 100 grams of weight which makes her only 2.3 kgs.. her doctor was worried and wants to perform an emergency c-section within 2 days as a maximum.. my friend is really worried and is in a very bad condition as she's so worried and spent all night crying and worried about her baby.. anyone went through a similar situation and their babies turned out to be healthy and fine? sorry for making it long and thanks for reading :)

The doc is probably looking at IUGR. Maybe you could look that up. Best to her!

Well I was born at 7 months and 2lbs 8ounces. I then went down to 2lbs 3ounces after the birth. I have had no side effects from this and have definately made up for it at 5'7 and 140lbs! (Well atleast I was before I got pregnant ;-). My mom wound up having an infantile womb and both my sister and I (no we were not twins) were delivered at 7 months and just over 3lbs each.

thanks for your thoughts :) she delivered her baby via c-section on 26/12 and it turned out that her doctor was wrong.. the baby was just fine and around 6 lbs (2.8 kgs) and 48 cms long,, just like my baby who is now 7 1/2 months old.. my friend was very upset cz she really wanted to experience normal delivery in this baby since she delivered her first via c-section also cz she had high blood pressure.. anyway thanks for ur responses :)
