Over Due Pregnancy And Numbness With Vagina

hi my pregnant gf is 5 days over due, and tonight she went to take a p___s and she said when she wiped herself that it was numb so we called the hospital and they said that this sounds like the first stage of labor? is this true?

and some gooey discharge stuff came out that looked like egg-wh!te

Well the numbness is most likely caused from the baby pressing on nerves, which I had toward the end of my 2nd pregnancy. The gooey stuff may or may not be the mucus plug coming away, but is usually blood tinged & very chunky compared to normal discharge. Either way you'll know soon enough if it is the beginning of labour. Goodluck to you both on the soon to be arrival of your baby.
