how will i know when im dilating ? what should i use to measure my self?

you prolly won't know you're dilating...I had no clue I was! then I went to the dc and he said I had dilated 2. As of a way to check yourself, ask your doctor!

I agree that you need to ask your Dr this question. As far as I understand, Medical staff are trained to know if their fingers are roughly a centimeter [unless they have really chubby fingers ya' know what I mean, haha] anywho, if they can only insert 2 or 3 fingers into your cervix than you are 2 - 3 cm dilated... so this is something we really can't measure for ourselves. Good luck though!
