i am 38 weeks pregnant and have been measuring 36 cm for three weeks in a row. i have an appointment on thursday, but i wanted to know ahead of time if you think they might induce early because of no belly growth. my doctor didn't say anything at the last appointment about induction, but does anyone have any experience with this?? i'm just getting a little worried for obvious reasons. any advice would be appreciated.

I measured small all through my first pregnancy. They even thought my baby was tiny (turned out 7.6 lbs.) Once I reached about 38-39 weeks they did a non-stress test to see how the baby was and he was fine. I went 4 days overdue. I think it's more common for some women to measure smaller, but have normal healthy babies. If your Dr. didn't say anything, I'm sure he's not concerned. Try not to stress too much, even though it's hard not too. PS, most Dr.s won't induce without a medical reason to do so.
