will mineral oil enduce labor or is it only castor oil

Castor oil but I've heard that a lot of doctors don't recommend it to start labor. Let your labor start itself naturally, if your doctor needs to intervene, he/she will.

The only thing that I've heard mineral oil being used for is a perineal ma__sage so you have less of a chance of tearing during labor. As for castor oil, it doesn't work for everyone. I tried it three days in a row (2 oz. in a good-sized gla__s of o.j.; has to be chugged because it's not so much the taste, it's the feel of it going down) -- the first day, had contractions with no progress in addition to running to the bathroom constantly; the other two days i just ran to the bathroom all the time.
