for the last hour i have been getting sharp pains low in my va___a area, could this be a sign of labour?

Well, there are several factors to consider. How far along are you? Are these more than just sharp pains? Do they last or do they come quickly and leave? Does your stomach tighten when you feel the sharp pain? If they are simply fast sharp pains, they are probably just the baby's head. I get sharp pains from my baby moving too and have been for the past 5 weeks. Normally (but not always) labor pains should last and not just come and go quickly. You should be able to start timing from the beginning of one to the beginning of the next. Let's start there and then we'll be able to narrow down what you may be experiencing.

im pretty sure im not in labour, (i have a daughter) its just i cant remember getting these pains when i was preggers with her, they dont last very long so im not to worried

Then it's most likely just the baby's head.
